GETTING HERE & PARKING
We want to ensure a smooth, easy arrival for all our guests! Here are the best ways to reach the festival:
-
Event Parking ($10 Day Rate): Paid event parking is available at the Washington State Ferry terminal lot, located just across Fifth Street on Ocean Ave. The fee is $10 (payable at the gate) and covers your vehicle until you leave. Please note: No re-entry is permitted on the same fee. View Map
-
Free Bike Valet: We are thrilled to partner with Capital Bike, who will be providing a free Bike Valet service located at the Washington State Ferry Terminal lot. Ride your bike down and leave it in safe hands!
-
Eco-Friendly Travel: To ensure a stress-free arrival, we highly recommend walking, biking, or using public transit to reach the park.
-
Downtown Sidney Parking: Additional public parking options throughout town can be found on the Town of Sidney Public Parking Map.
-
McTavish Park-and-Ride: For those driving from further away, we suggest using the free McTavish Park-and-Ride and enjoying a short bus trip into the heart of Sidney.
-
Accessibility Drop-Off: A dedicated drop-off zone for those with accessibility needs will be available on Ocean Ave, located just east of the tennis courts.
ACCESSIBILITY
We strive to make the Sails & Sagas accessible to all adventurers. The festival is held on the grassy surface of the Iroquois Park soccer field, with a paved path leading directly from the road to the main gate to assist with entry.
Regarding mobility on the grounds:
-
Power Chairs and Scooters: Guests using power chairs or scooters are likely to have little difficulty navigating the site.
-
Walkers and Canes: Individuals using walkers or canes should experience minimal difficulty traversing the field.
-
Manual Chairs: Those using manual wheelchairs may require assistance with pushing in the grass.
A dedicated drop-off zone for those with accessibility needs is located on Ocean Ave in front of the tennis courts to ensure a smooth arrival.
Additionally, seating is available in the food court, Kiddie Cove (kid zone), Pirate Tavern, and Mead Hall, as well as other areas around the venue. Those who need a break in a quiet zone can access the rest of Iroquois Park outside our gates (there are grassy areas, a pond, and a playground); your wristband (weekend pass) or hand stamp (day pass) gains you re-entry throughout the day.
Accessible washrooms are available on site.
MAP
In efforts to reduce our environmental impact a limited number of printed maps will be available for guests onsite, but they will be on display at our info booth, and a digital copy will be provided via the QR code on each wristband. The official Event Map will be released at least a week before the event.
WHERE TO STAY
Iroquois Park does not offer onsite camping, but if camping is your jam, we recommend SMONEĆTEN Campground, a short 10 min drive away and easily accessible by BC Transit.
